Those who have accepted what a healthy marriage is understand that it is a #selfless thing to become someone else’s spouse. You cannot withhold yourself from someone to whom you expect to build #trust and a lasting #legacy. Oftentimes though, there is more #selfishness on one or both parties’ part then there should be which causes complications.
If we can agree that this is the way to go in #marriage, why do we hold out different parts of our compartmentalized lives from God, though? After all, He has described Himself as a husband to His people in the #OldTestament; while in the #NewTestament, Christ’s relationship to His body a.k.a. the church a.k.a. #Christians is described as that of a groom to a bride.
Why then, do we withhold our music (I’m looking at you #HipHopHeads), our entertainment, our most private and treasured pleasures from Him? #WhereIsTheLove? #ISurrenderALL #ISurrenderAllHipHop #AskingForAFriend#IConsiderYOUAFriend
