Born engineer, indeed I am not.
Intuition was learned at expensive costs…
I have earned what I know, I discern what alludes my grasp.
My father’s heir included no predestined scientific path,
What I was given was a notion and means to succeed:
Parental resources I honed to surpass their peaks and dreams.
So when I come in class, you may have some vantage,
But realize I come from a culture determined not to be vanquished.
Your father taught you induction before your ABC’s,
essential concepts, and trigonometric identities.
I played with Autobots and Decepticons, I cried when Optimus died.
While you derived turn ratios for coils to optimize.
Born engineer, indeed you have been.
It shows in your inability to explain
Concepts that need clarification,
theories that for me,
are hard to ascertain.
Yes, I once stayed angry
and quite upset at your knowledge
As I made meager attempts
to calculate divisions of voltage.
How can we be equal when our current
paths are not parallel?
How can I phase in to stop lagging
behind when I fail?
I am a bred engineer, more impressive than your gain.
What was put in so small, I will expand
with no enveloping constraints.
The signals I send will oscillate and
grow until the end of time.
Without decay or attenuation… feel me RISE!
