Baptizing or #baptism is not exclusively a water activity. Baptizing means to immerse: to have the same thing outside of you that’s within you, as well. You can be immersed in water if dunked in it because we are made of 2/3 water. Likewise, we are always immersed in air.
This correlation helped me gain some understanding about a longheld question I had about what it means to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the #HolySpirit. It’s not what Catholics do when they touch their head, heart and shoulders! (#InTHATOrder)
Romans 10:8-10 provides a clue:
“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”fn (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the #LordJesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” #RomansRoad
This confession is about being baptized #InTheNameOfJesus. When you believe with your heart and confess Him with your mouth (speaking out of the abundance of your heart per Luke 6:45 which means that you’ve brought what’s inside of you to the outside by speaking it), you are immersing yourself in His name.
Hence, to baptize nations in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit like Matthew 28:19 states, we teach people in such a way that they believe in their hearts that God is their #HeavenlyFather, Jesus as the #Messiah is His #OnlyBegottenSon #RaisedFromTheDead and the Holy Spirit is a #Comforter with 9 gifts and 9 fruit at the ready to be used. Once people believe that, they should be able to speak it out of their mouths and manifest the gifts and fruit to be baptized in those three names. #Selah. #LongPost #DangIt! #IDidItAgain #PreachersGonnaPreach #EvangelistsGonnaEvangelize #TeachersGonnaTeach #YouGonLearnToday! #SorryNotSorry! #KACNation #ManuFortiMinistries #TeachingMinistry #TeachingChurch #AnsweringTheToughQuestions
