Remember the end of #8Mile when #BRabbit OWNED #PapaDoc?!! Do you remember how he did it? He laid his soul bare in the first few bars – confessing every flaw that was a part of his identity so that his opponent couldn’t use it against him. #BunnyRabbit literally got the JUMP on Papa Doc!
That’s what confession will do for you. What the enemy is tormenting you about and threatening to out you over can be used against him and #disarmed when we #confess our faults one to another so that we can pray for one another with effectual, fervent and RIGHTEOUS prayer (see James 5:16)! Own your faults/sins/transgressions/iniquities! You will unseat and remove the power of your greatest adversary (satan) when you do so as you shed light on the darkest part(s) of your soul.
#Confession isn’t going to God and admitting it… He’s omnipresent which means He was there in your offense! The method we’ve been taught to walk out in our #Church is to consider who is the LAST person you want to find out about your slip up? Got it? Good! Tell THAT person and ask for #forgiveness and #prayer (though, to be honest, the latter part is predicated upon said person being a disciplined one in Christ #Jesus)! #SELAH
