#Mercy. Though I warned my children about what would happen if they let this slime get #OC in the house, they just told me that they found some if it dried up on the carpet behind my daughter’s bed.
As my son came downstairs to be the #BearerOfBadNews, I could tell by his “Daddy…” and quivering voice that he was scared of what my reaction would be.
But I had already executed their punishment last week when I saw slime smeared on some fabric in the house and even reduced the punishment. Though I opted NOT to take away what they had made (as I’d originally intended), their slime factory was shut down.
So when they told me about this new Valdez slime spill, there was no need to react again. After my response, I asked them if they were scared (they were shook!) and explained why I wasn’t upset.
If I receive mercy from God, I have to be willing to dole it out as well, right? How many times have you been afraid to go to your Father in heaven because of some foolishness that He already rendered judgment on, though? There’s no need to be afraid for those of us in Christ who are willing to fess up and change our ways. It’s already been dealt with. Jesus accepted the judgment already so just confess it, repent of it and accept the gift called…
