You see, the problem with #conservative thinking (let’s save #liberal thinking for another day!) is that they believe just because they “claim” to believe in God, that they’re justified in all that they do. That’s why they actually believe the current president was appointed by God. But they’re in for a #RudeAwakening. The thing is, it wouldn’t be so rude if they actually studied the Bible. God judged Israel (as the Northern Kingdom) and Judah (as the Southern Kingdom) collectively as His #ChosenPeople SEVERAL times in the Old Testament because of their wickedness and idolatry (you know… pledging allegiance to things/people with greater priority than God…).
In fact, #Trump WAS appointed by God but as a judgment upon this nation and reflection of its corrupt, bigoted and prideful heart. This is not new. God appointed evil kings over Israel and Judah MANY times in the Old Testament to cause them to see their wicked ways and REPENT. What does the #UnitedStates need to repent of? Many things, but for starters:
“Woe to those who devise iniquity,
And work out evil on their beds!
At morning light they practice it,
Because it is in the power of their hand.
They covet fields and take them by violence,
Also houses, and seize them.
So they oppress a man and his house,
A man and his inheritance.
Therefore thus says the LORD:
“Behold, against this family I am devising disaster,
From which you cannot remove your necks;
Nor shall you walk haughtily,
For this is an evil time.” – Micah 2:1-3 NKJV
