As I was jogging this morning, I had to make sure I wasn’t fooling myself when the thought entered my mind that I was the only one out. Others are jogging, too – just at different times. I am not alone.
Similarly, when you are going through hardships, you may think that because you don’t see anyone else going through, that you are by yourself. This is far from the truth. People rarely let on that they’re struggling – especially on social media platforms. It’s all about the projections and appearances of success out here.
This isn’t about you finding comfort in other people’s struggles, though. True #comfort comes from on high. This is about realizing that while they may struggle at different times, #YouAreNotAlone.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” – Psalm 23:4
“Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” – Psalm 139:7
