I had a conversation with a married #Christian couple recently who confessed that they still worry over their adult children. I mean worry like – if it was up to them, they’d still have them check in every day over the phone.
When I asked them why they have that type of fear, they pointed to how dark/evil the world is.
Yes – it’s dark and hell (on earth) is hot but those who have fellowship in the light SHOULD have nothing to worry about. Pestilence, plague and destruction may cause thousands to fall on our left and right, but it will by no means touch us IF we believe that we truly have fellowship in the Kingdom of God’s dear Son a.k.a the Kingdom of Light.
‘Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in DARKNESS; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.’

I reminded this couple of the 10 plagues that hit #Egypt before they let God’s people go. Specifically, the #plague where #darknessfell upon Egypt. The #darkness was so thick they couldn’t SEE one another… except in #Goshen: the camp of Israel.
‘And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.’ – Exodus 10:22-23
Yes – the world is dark but WE (the saved in and believers of Jesus Christ) are the light that shines brighter in the darkness because we’re connected back to #GodTheFather through His #OnlyBegottenSon. We’re safe… as long as you’re in the right camp.
