In the eye of the storm
My God rises to perform –
He holds the sky as it forms into rain and thundering.
Despite the sheer marvel of this,
I’m switching gears to more harmful events…
Cardinal winds are pardonable vents next to human pain and suffering.
Personal storms wreak havoc
In more hurtful forms that increase weak habits.
As weeks increase in status – these storms don’t dissipate.
As the storm lingers, self-pity tilts the atlas of fear
The more it remains in the stratosphere…
Yet when the rapids clear, we still tend to distance faith.
Storms aren’t forms of punishment –
They’re more like warnings of subtleness.
If the Lord let all the trouble in – such chaotic squalls would be the norm.
Heading into a storm sets a leery glimpse
Of what we could really experience…
If not for the Son’s light being pierced and eclipsed, we’d all be forlorn.
While fair weather trends tend
To make us fair weather friends to Him,
Many stay fettered to Him in the midst of a tempest.
Yet when the wind prods, blows and pelts,
Others will say God goes unfelt…
But those whose souls are knelt know that He’s still in business.
No matter how wide or worn,
God’s in the eye of the storm.
Within this catch phrase lies a dormant inscription.
Who Else’s eye could it be
Besides He Who designed you and me?!!…
With an open eye, you can see – no storm can cloud His enormous vision!
So who needs the eye of the tiger
When you have the likes of the Provider’s?!!
He is Jehovah Jireh – supplier of all our needs.
His eyesight is all-seeing.
The length of His arms are ever-reaching…
As His refuge is ever-seeking to keep us from the reign of our fallen deeds.

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”

“But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And He said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid ; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.”
– Matthew 14:24-32
