Your manhood or manliness is not defined by what type of car you have or how clean you keep your tires. Your manhood is not defined by how many curse words you can string together or how much work you can do with your hands.
Your manhood is not defined by your ability to make more money than your wife. Neither is your manhood defined by how many women you have been with or how charred you like to cook and eat your meat.
Physical strength has nothing to do with how manly you are. Muscles have nothing to do with manhood.
Manhood is not about how much you read the Bible or how well you listen to someone else quote it but how much you APPLY the Bible to your life to change and reprove it.
Your manhood is defined by how Christ-like you model your marriage and your fatherhood after; in how you rear (love AND discipline) your children while teaching them to love the Lord your God with all of their heart, mind, soul and strength. It’s not about how many trinkets you get them under the guise of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.
In doing so, your manhood is defined by the legacy you leave for your children in Christ. How well you replicated the image and likeness of God in the earth. How well you endured when the world set itself against you for doing so. How often you got back up after slipping, falling, failing and repeating said failures yet believing and relying on (but not taking advantage of) God’s love to redeem you through the sacrifice of His Son. How many strongholds you pulled down in Christ’s strength and for HIS kingdom… not your own. That’s called spiritual fortitude. THAT’S called spiritual strength. That.
